Permanent Modular Construction: A Means to Fund School Construction
Most public school districts in Texas are growing in attendance, but their revenue is dropping as property taxes fall and state and federal funding are reduced. While the Texas Association of School Board’s website outlines a number of resources available to fund school construction, many fast-growing Texas districts are forced to make difficult choices. Hensel Phelps Uses Ramtech’s Accelerated Building System to Complete C.O.F. Facilities at Fort Bliss
Construction on the third and final phase of the Army’s new Company Operation Facilities at Ft. Bliss, Texas was completed in December 2010. Ramtech was the strategic subcontractor to Hensel Phelps responsible for structural design, manufacturing, and installation of eighteen 18,000 sf two-story buildings, and six 8,000 sf one-story buildings. Ramtech’s scope of work totaled 372,000 sf with their subcontracts for the three task orders totaling $32 million. (more…)
