About the position
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and guidance for all design department activities, and manage the work flow of in-house drafting team
- Designer of record for all architectural design elements, providing architectural code and drawing reviews, and stamping outgoing design packages
- Direct customer interface during sales and project programming processes
- Work in the development of new building design concepts to create new building systems to grow market share
- Provide input to the estimating and sales departments as required to development designs to meet the customers’ needs, and to create design concepts for pricing
- Interface/coordinate with customer, third party, local and state regulatory agencies as required to resolve code issues
- Review plans of in-house designs to assure document quality and consistency
- Work with outside design consultants when required
- Interface directly with city / state permitting authorities as needed
- Where required, be involved in the development of ICC issues that relate to the modular industry
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architecture preferred
- 5+ years of experience in construction and architecture
- Strong organizational, creative and presentation skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
- Texas License and NCARB Certified required
- TAS trained, but not a certified accessibility specialist
- Knowledge of or experience with Texas Industrialized Housing and Building Program (which governs commercial modular buildings) a plus
- Must be willing to work in a fast-paced organization and willing to constructively lead in a team environment
- Good communication skills are required along with a proficiency for multitasking
About the position
The Plumber will be primarily responsible for installing and testing plumbing systems in each module.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading new construction drawings, should have previous experience and be knowledgeable about commercial plumbing fixtures and systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, top out and rough in of walls for water supply, and drain/waste/vent systems.
- Cut, assemble and install piping and fittings with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring, framing, etc)
- Install water supply systems, utilizing PEX, CPVC and copper
- Install DWV systems, utilizing PVC and cast iron (very rare)
- Locate and repair issues with plumbing system upon a failed test
- Responsible for maintaining inventory of all plumbing supplies
- Assist various departments as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a commercial plumber, minimum 5 year’s experience
- Solid understanding of water distribution and
disposaldrain/waste/vent systems in commercial and industrial buildings - Working knowledge of HVAC drain lines
- Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plumbing soldering torch etc.)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform in a production type environment
- Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
- Ability to work overtime if needed
- Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of apprenticeship, nice to have but not required
- Fluent in Spanish, nice to have but not required
