Last week, Ramtech was invited by the Mansfield ISD Education Foundation to celebrate with the grant recipients we recently helped support for an on-going leadership program that the MISD has been participating in. The grant will be used by MISD’s Social Emotional Learning Department for Leadership Blueprint training conducted through the Flippen Group/Capturing Kids Hearts program. MISD Assistant Principals and other school district leaders and educators will learn and practice relational skills that they will model daily to help students feel more supported, which ultimately leads to a more likely engagement in learning and fosters better academic outcomes.
Founded in 1998, the Mansfield ISD Education Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) made up of people who care about the education of the youth in the community. They work in partnership with members and organizations in the Mansfield area, in order to work together to bring creative and innovative programs into the school district and classroom by offering funding beyond what local tax dollars are able to provide. To date, over $3.5 million in grants have been secured to enhance the education provided by Mansfield ISD. Thank you to the MISD Education Foundation for your support of the Mansfield Independent School District and helping to support and build a better community.
Ramtech recently completed a 6,498 square foot modular health clinic in Elgin, Texas for Community Health Centers of South Central Texas. Known as the Family Health Center at Elgin, the free-standing facility replaces a small school-based clinic that the company operated using only two classrooms inside the local Elgin ISD’s Intermediate school. The new building, also located on Elgin ISD property near the District’s elementary school, provides 13 exam rooms for the clinic’s three providers, dental exam rooms, procedure room, multiple private offices, an x-ray room, lab and pharmacy areas, vaccination room, centralized nurses station, large reception and eligibility screening areas.
Using Type VB construction, the structure was built using Ramtech’s traditional pier and beam permanent modular construction process. Our scope of work included the manufacturing, installation, and finish-out of the modular sections which were all set on a concrete pier foundation. The parapet wall exterior of the building incorporates a combination of HardiePanel vertical siding along with a metal fascia band, while the facility’s interior is finished with vinyl covered gypsum walls together with luxury vinyl tile flooring.
Founded in 1966, Community Health Centers of South Central Texas operates nine facilities that serve patients in and around the greater Austin area providing family medicine, pediatrics, dental and behavioral health services. The new building will allow the clinic to triple its current patient load and expands their services to accommodate clients from a three-county area east of Austin.
At the end of November Ramtech was able to photograph the completed permanent modular building we manufactured and installed this year for the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport terminal expansion project in Panama City Beach, Florida. The airport took delivery on a new jet bridge that was installed in November, which officially completed the 7,168 square foot building addition that increases the available passenger capacity and seating areas for the two gates that serve the airport’s regional jet operators. Ramtech’s video segment for the syndicated program Inside The Blueprint Local Edition ran twice during November on KDFI Channel 27 in Dallas-Fort Worth. Produced by Florida-based BrandStar Entertainment, the four-minute segment on Ramtech was the intro to the 30-minute program which featured five Metroplex firms, all innovators in construction, engineering waterworks, insulation materials, and HVAC products. As the commercial modular building industry continues to grow and evolve, so too have the number of privately held companies who have seen their founders turn the reins over to the next generation of leaders. In many of these companies, it’s now the sons and daughters who are stepping up to take over. This is the case with several firms including Ramtech where Matt Slataper became President on January 1st of this year. Although Mike Slataper remains the CEO of Ramtech, Matt took over the day to day operations from Linc Moss who will take retirement at the end of the year. (more…)
