Modular buildings are so hot they’ve even been considered for the Red Planet. A multimillion-dollar contest which was launched in 2015 by NASA  challenged architectural teams to come up with various designs suitable for Mars. The goal is to provide future Mars inhabitants with permanent homes and other structures. A modular building idea from Arkansas-based Team Zoperhous, was a finalist in NASA’s Mars Habitat Design Competition. Read about it here:
