Public healthcare facilities throughout the state of Texas, and the Southwest United States as a whole, have a unique challenge on their hands. While the area continues to be the fastest growing region in the country, public funding is consistently being reduced. One solution that has served many healthcare providers well is the choice to work with Ramtech Modular Building Systems. Not only is Ramtech’s approach 25 – 50% faster than site-built construction, it is also significantly less expensive and provides a greener construction process with less waste and lower utility costs.
Ramtech has two proprietary approaches to modular construction that serve different medical construction needs. The first is a traditional relocatable approach in which prefabricated modular sections are placed on a temporary or permanent pier and beam foundation. This type of building is ideal for outpatient clinics including rural health clinics and community healthcare centers, medical professional buildings, and administrative offices. Typically, the modular sections are 75% complete when they leave Ramtech’s manufacturing plant, and are then shipped, quickly erected, and finished out on site. This approach allows for relocation of the buildings should another need arise, and these structures are available through both purchase and lease contracts.
The second building system available from Ramtech is the permanent Accelerated Building System (ABS). With this approach, floorless modular sections are built in Ramtech’s plant, transported to the site, and installed on an engineered concrete slab foundation, at which point interior and exterior finishes are applied. This building system provides the same quality product as onsite construction, but allows for faster completion, lower overall cost, and less environmental impact. It is an ideal approach for dialysis clinics, imaging centers, surgical clinics, small rural hospitals, and many other healthcare facilities.
The keys to the value in Ramtech’s building systems are the construction process that is implemented and the vertical integration of the company. Often, clients first identify a need for a new building, but are not sure where to start. Ramtech can help develop an initial space plan, provide a rendering of the exterior appearance, and a detailed budget for the project. Then based on client feedback, can design the perfect solution for their medical facility needs. From that point, Ramtech will manufacture, install, and complete all scopes of site construction work, making it a more convenient and efficient experience for the customer. So whether you need a 2,000 square foot medical clinic or a 20,000 square foot hospital addition, Ramtech is your one source solution.
