Ramtech’s Sabrina Queen Receives Modular Institute Career Services Award at the MBI World of Modular Convention
Our very own Sabrina Queen, Ramtech’s Business Development Specialist for the education market, was recently honored with the Modular Building Institute’s 2025 Career Services Award. Nominated by Ramtech, Sabrina has dedicated 35 years to the company, serving in numerous roles over that time while always displaying an unwavering commitment to providing exceptional professional and community service. Her ability to build relationships and deliver results has led to over $200 million in commercial modular project sales by serving numerous clients across Texas and our neighboring states. Known for her versatility and client-focused approach, Sabrina is one of the cornerstones of Ramtech’s success, always ready to tackle challenges and supporting the Ramtech team and our customers alike.
Beyond her professional achievements, Sabrina’s community involvement is equally inspiring. Since 2002, she has volunteered with Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County, initially as a group driver for Ramtech’s team and, since 2018, as the Group Coordinator for the Mansfield route. “Her kindness, patience, and organizational skills ensure weekly meal deliveries to clients who deeply appreciate her care”, as noted by Cathy Wilson, Coordinator of Volunteer Scheduling and Mobile Delivery for Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County. Additionally, since September 2023, Sabrina has been a valued member of the Burleson Citizens on Patrol Program, logging in over 140 volunteer hours. The City of Burleson Police Department’s Community Resource Officer Jay Davis said of Sabrina, “Whether patrolling, training, or supporting events, she serves as a community role model, always ready to lend a hand. Sabrina’s blend of professional excellence and community dedication makes her a truly deserving recipient of this prestigious award”.

Ramtech Superintendent James Marrow Enters Retirement
For 12 years all of us at Ramtech were blessed to have the skills of James Marrow, one of the finest project superintendents our company has ever had. This month, James decided to take a well deserved retirement after a long career in construction management, to focus on the building of his new home that he and his wife have planned and dreamed about doing in East Texas. During the course of his tenure at Ramtech, James has been intimately involved in many of the highest profile projects that we have done during his time with us. These include both phases of the Concourse A expansions at Denver International Airport, the multi- story projects at Los Alamos National Laboratory, and one of our first permanent modular slab-on-grade commercial projects for Lifestyle Management in South Dallas. 
From all of us at Ramtech, thank you James for your years of dedicated service to help make Ramtech the premier modular construction company in the Southwest.

Ramtech Receives Two MBI Awards of Distinction Honors at the 2025 World of Modular Convention in Las Vegas
Ramtech added to our long collection of Modular Building Institute Awards of Distinction trophies by receiving two awards at this year’s 42nd annual 2025 World of Modular Conference and Tradeshow held April 7 – l0 at the Bellagio Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. A record 1,741 attendees gathered at the sold-out conference which focused on key themes including affordable housing, the current evolution of construction, and an introduction to modular construction.
Ramtech received our first first-place award in the Relocatable Modular Assembly category for our 26,200 square foot five-gate airport terminal extension for Denver International Airport’s Concourse A East ground loading facility. The building extends and expands the initial modular building Ramtech constructed for DIA in 2017. 
The Type II modular building was comprised of thirty-six 52-foot modules with open web steel trusses and perimeter structural and sub-floor shear walls which were oriented end-to-end to provide a 250 foot clear span facility that sits atop a proprietary stacked CMU pier foundation which was bonded to the existing tarmac surface. The industrial metal siding provides a clean exterior look with large windows and white and gray metal siding to match the original modular building and complement the sculpted canopy design of the adjacent DIA permanent structure. The building meets the standards set for the FAA’s compliant passenger gate waiting areas, including a 20-foot-wide continuous walkway and space for high-stooled charging workstations.
Ramtech also received an honorable mention trophy for our Los Alamos National Laboratory multi-use office building entry in the Permanent Modular Office category. Using our proprietary slab-on-grade ‘floorless’ modular system, the 23,300 square foot Type II two-story facility offers a clear span approach to the overall structure allowing for versatile space planning that includes 14 private offices, extensive open workspaces, upper and lower-level breakrooms, four communications rooms, men’s and women’s restrooms, modular elevator, and mechanical and electrical rooms. 
The building exterior was designed to complement the industrial nature of the adjacent area by using horizontal steel siding panels, while the interior utilizes a combination of carpet tile, porcelain tile and non-static VCT, along with textured and painted walls and 2×2 revealed edge acoustical tile in a slim-line grid system for the ceilings.

Ramtech Attends North Texas Collegiate Academy Gymnasium Opening
Ramtech was honored to be invited to the ribbon cutting for the new gymnasium and storm shelter facility that we constructed on the campus of North Texas Collegiate Academy in Little Elm. Matt Slataper and Randy Van Zandt were on hand as special guests of the charter school as the building was dedicated in front of students and staff members.
The construction of a permanent classroom facility that Ramtech completed last year came with a condition that the school also develop a storm shelter facility to protect students and staff from the dangers of formidable storms. North Texas collegiate Academy opted to build a gymnasium with an attached storm shelter to meet the code requirement to accommodate all of the students and faculty at the school. The storm shelter section is comprised of four separate rooms with an occupancy rating of 428 people. The building includes an inverter system to power emergency lights and air and water systems if the power happens to be cut.
The gymnasium has a UIL approved full-size basketball court with retractable goals and collapsible bleachers along one side. Ramtech was also responsible for the site development and utilities, including a twelve-inch fire loop, two vaults for the fire sprinkler and backflow preventers, and the installation of a new fire hydrant. The surrounding area was also landscaped with an irrigation system to accommodate the watering of the grass sod and 58 new trees and 359 shrubs.
