Grants for the School-Based Health Center Capital (SBHCC) Program
The June 26, 2012 application deadline for one of the 150 grants available under the Affordable Care Act’s School-Based Health Center Capital (SBHCC) Program is rapidly approaching. If your school district is considering the construction of a new standalone structure based on the program guidelines for permanently affixed prefabricated or modular building, Ramtech Building Systems would like to help. Ramtech Wins Award at Modular Building Institute Annual Conference
Ramtech has added to its crop of Awards of Distinction trophies with another first place award at the World of Modular, the Modular Building Institute’s annual convention and trade show held this year March 24-27 at the Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Florida. Ramtech extended our winning streak over the last three years by picking up a first place award in the ‘Temporary Office Under 5000 square feet’ category for the 4,320 square foot modular buildings we built and installed at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico for the Multinational Medium Extended Air Defense System program. Modular Medical Buildings on Display at TORCH
Ramtech will once again be at the Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals’ annual conference and trade show coming April 11-13. Historically held at the Hotel Intercontinental in Addison, the conference is moving over to the Omni Hotel in downtown Dallas this year. (more…)

The Proposed 2013 Federal Construction Budget
On February 17th the Associated General Contractors of America posted on AGC News information relating to the reduction in spending for all federal construction programs for 2013. The proposed 2013 federal budget would institute a 31% reduction in Military/DOD construction and a 6% decline in the amount for the Corps of Engineers’ civil construction projects. The reductions would total over $4 billion with only modest increases in GSA and VA spending of approximately $75 million. (more…)

Permanent and Temporary Modular Buildings on Display at TASBO Annual Conference
Ramtech continues to make great strides in securing contracts in a tough economic climate for portable classrooms, multiple classroom facilities, and modular buildings for public, private, and charter schools. Last week we were on full display at the 2012 Texas Association of School Administrators Midwinter Conference and Education Expo at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas. Next up on the calendar for our education group is the 66th annual Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) which will be held February 27 – March 2, 2012 at the George R.
