When Cook Children’s Hospital wanted to expand the number of community clinics needed to meet the demands of the medically underserved areas of Fort Worth, Texas, they chose the fast-track approach of traditional modular construction. Developed with a permanent looking curb appeal, these facilities were all designed and manufactured to be relocated in the future depending on market conditions. A total of four two-practitioner clinics were designed, manufactured, and installed within a 180 day time frame. Each clinic features 6 exam rooms, a procedure room, nurse’s station, lab, waiting area and business office. The exteriors were finished with a simulated stucco elastomeric paint finish, and each building incorporated concrete steps and ramps and roof-mounted HVAC mechanical systems.
