A Hospital Turns to Ramtech for Permanent Modular Construction
When St. Joseph Regional Health Center decided they needed to add an urgent care facility in College Station, Texas, they chose Ramtech to become part of their project team, working with Ameritex Studio as their architect of record, and Vaughn Construction as their CM. The reason: Ramtech had a proprietary permanent modular building system that was superior to any modular system in the southwest, and Ramtech’s in-house design team was most qualified to provide a design assist engineering role. In order to lower cost, St. Joseph chose to utilize a design-build approach. This opened the door to Ramtech’s design team initiating programming sessions, conducting site investigations and developing a synergy with the client that carried forward throughout the project. The June 26, 2012 application deadline for one of the 150 grants available under the Affordable Care Act’s School-Based Health Center Capital (SBHCC) Program is rapidly approaching. Modular Medical Buildings on Display at TORCH
