Charlotte ISD chose Ramtech’s slab-on-grade permanent modular construction to address their middle school campus expansion needs and to mitigate conflicts between the construction and school activities. The cafeteria building features a full-service kitchen, walk-in refrigerator and freezer, food serving area, seating for 200 students, food storage area, restrooms, and office space. The classroom building provides for eight learning areas, and student and staff restrooms. The cafeteria and multiple classroom building both utilized a split-face block wainscot and light EIFS exterior to match the surrounding structures. The HVAC consists of zoned, high efficiency roof-mounted package units. The interior and exterior lighting is provided by 120V LED fixtures in both the buildings.
