During the final phase of Ramtech’s construction of Blue Ridge ISD’s middle school, we began the demoli – tion of some existing structures and the extensive site work required for a two-story 28,200 square foot el – ementary school building, expanded parking area, and new road. The ABS permanent modular construc – tion approach was then used to manufacture and construct a facility that features 17 classrooms, two science labs, administrative office space, and a combined library and media center. Like the middle school, the building has integrated data, communication, and alarm systems, as well as a mechanical and lighting system designed to accommodate the District’s energy management system. The new school also incorporates a full-height split-faced block exterior to match the other surrounding structures.
